A Royal Arrangement.
Although the Queen did recover, her health was never the same. The doctors told the King that his beloved queen had tuberculosis, and that she would physically be fragile for the rest of her life. The disease quickly robbed the Queen of her strength, but she insisted on spending as much time in the garden as possible, resting many hours on the bench where she and the King had fallen in love.
Unfortunately, as Summer breathed its last, so did the fragile Queen. A servant found her laying in a bed of wildflowers next to the wooden bench, the life gone from her eyes and her heart long still.
Aside from the King and their children, no one was hit by the Queen's untimely death more than her former Lady-in-Waiting Elizaveta, now the head of the Royal Household. The Queen had been her dearest friend, and in fact it was she who found the lifeless Queen when she failed to come to dinner.
A month of kingdom-wide mourning followed the death of their beloved Queen.
The King, stripped of the true love he once enjoyed, began in earnest to find suitable matches for his two children, so that they might also know true love before it was too late. In particular he kept up correspondence with King Edward of Soluna. King Edward ruled another very large and prosperous kingdom, and was also graced with a beautiful daughter, his pride and joy and only heir after his queen died in childbirth. Princess Katherine was charming, well read, eloquent, gracious, a true princess. She had also served as acting queen ever since she was old enough to help her father. She was an ideal match to marry James and become the kingdom's next queen when King Hubert gave the crown to his son in one year's time.
Once Upon A Time
When Eleanor Clairmont runs from her stepmother's cruelty for the third time, she has just two things in mind; getting a better life for her and her step sister, and reuniting with a man she met the last time she ran away. While she quickly succeeds with the former, the latter is not so easy, with a potentially devastating war looming over the horizon. Eventually living a double life and trying desperately to hide her past that holds the key to her happily-ever-after, Eleanor and her search for freedom and true love sets off a chain of events that hold the possibility of saving the kingdom, or tearing it, and the Almirisian Royal Family, apart.

Once and For All
Once and For All
A bounty hunter found Elle at the tavern a few days later, kidnapping her in the dead of night and forcing her back to her family's crumbling manor. When Elle came face to face with the woman she hoped to never see again, she scowled furiously at her. Regina, for her part, looked like she wanted to murder Elle. Frankly, Elle didn't care. "How dare you forget your place, you ragged servant girl." she said, her voice dangerously low.
Elle wanted to slap her. "I am a free person, and I can go and do as I please." Elle snapped.
Regina laughed and slapped her. "A free person? Mark my words Girl. You are nothing but a dirty servant girl. That is all you have ever been and that is all you will ever be."

"Don't tell me what I can be." Elle snapped. "I left once, I'll leave again."
Regina roughly grabbed Elle and wrapped a brass chain with an amber pendant around her neck. The instant the exposed amber touched her skin Elle felt her magic float away into nothingness. "A containment and anti-aggression charm should remind you of your place Cinderella. You will NEVER leave this house again."

A meeting
Prince James and his squire Adrian were returning home from another failed quest to find the Prince a wife. As the Crown Prince of one of the largest and wealthiest kingdoms in the realm, James was duty bound to marry a lady of royal blood, but he had wanted to marry for the convenience of love. What his father was pushing him to do was enter into what amounted to a business transaction. James never wanted that.
"William," Adrian said, heeding the Prince's wish to stay incognito with a false name. He didn't want to travel with a whole bunch of fanfare. With that in mind, the Prince wore a Glamour that changed and lengthened his blond hair to the brown associated with merchants and the peasantry. "What do you think your father will say when you come back empty handed yet again?"
